Summary
TRINITAS FOOD RELIEF (Covid-19 Relief Project)
The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world and economies on a global scale had its grave consequences on not just the impoverished populace but also on the low-class and middle-class earners. The effect on the Lagos metropolis was nothing to write home about as majority defied Government-imposed guidelines as a result of hunger and the inability to cater for loved ones.
Trinitas initiated a Food Relief scheme to ease the effect on the less privileged and several volunteers turned out to make a well-targeted reach to the most vulnerable victims of the massive decline. Different neighbourhoods around the Lekki-Ajah axis were impacted, with our partners reaching out in greatly effective ways, financially and materially, as the logistics involved were demanding.
A total of 50 rams, 200 live chickens, 100 bags of rice, 1,000 litres of vegetable oil and 1,000 face masks were distributed and impacting over 200 families in the process.
