We are still facing hunger and poverty in the country today because most of the goods we consume as a nation To celebrate 2022 valentine’s day, Trinitas Africa Foundation visited widows in various communities around Lagos state with gifts, foodstuffs, toiletries, flowers, cakes to surprise and wish the widows a happy valentine’s day. During the visit, the widows were asked how they have been managing since the loss of their significant order and how they will love to be assisted by Trinitas Foundation. A few mentioned educations for their children, some of the other widows mentioned capital to expand their current business and a few of the widows mentioned capital to start a new business.

Speaking at the outreach, Mr. Ade George, Chief Executive Officer, Trinitas Foundation stated that Losing a partner or husband shouldn’t mean a death sentence, but this is their reality for most of these women. We need to protect them, give them a chance to normal life even though the normal could be different without their partner.

Trinitas Foundation is set to support these women through our widow empowerment program. These women could become leaders in their various communities, that is why we want to empower them through various entrepreneurial projects, skills, and resources that build their confidence, make them independent, and help them grow economically.

Over the years, we have been able to empower over 1000 widows in various communities around Lagos and Nigeria as a whole Over 700 of their children have gotten scholarships to study in various schools.

The organization believes in the power of partnerships and collaborative efforts to bring about change for these women.
